Leadership Development: NBIS
works with senior executives and directors in identifying
the sustainability advantage for their company and developing
an implementation plan. The NBIS Leadership Initiative provides
opportunities for senior decision-makers to discuss issues
and problems and to share solutions.
Training opportunities include workshops
and seminars on key issues and tools for successfully implementing
and widening sustainability initiatives. Lectures from leading
strategists and business persons are offered on a regular
basis.
Peer-to-Peer and Business-to-Business networking
is supported through NBIS Interact, the online collaboration
network, and also in gatherings of special affinity groups,
such as small business owners, supply chain managers, environmental
managers, purchasing managers, marketing executives. Affinity
groups may also be formed to offer in-depth learning and discussion
within industry sectors such as banking, retail, wood products
industry, maritime industry, food industry and more.
Implementation Resources – NBIS offers

team is convened to assist business and organization members
in assessing sustainability needs, goals and challenges. NBIS
coordinates efforts and integrates participation from a number
of resources, including appropriate experts from the NBIS

is a screened group of companies who provide specialized technical
and strategic advisory services to NBIS members as part of
interdisciplinary implementation teams. Service areas include:
