Introduction

PROFITABLE SUSTAINABILITY: THE FUTURE OF BUSINESS is produced by the Network for Business Innovation and Sustainability in association with the Future 500, Colbridge & Company, and an Executive Planning Committee composed of business, civic and government leaders in the Northwest.

MISSION:
The goal of the conference is to help businesses develop and implement plans for success in a future that requires conservation of resources, socially responsible practices, skillful use of new technologies, and accountability to a wider circle of stakeholders. The conference is designed to:

  • Demonstrate best world sustainability practices: provide methodologies and tools for business leaders to apply at their own companies.
  • Produce outcomes: the seeding of innovative projects; identification of constraints and barriers with strategies for addressing them; creation of new business opportunities.
  • Foster new alliances of commerce, education, government agencies and non-profits in support of sustainable business practices.

This premiere conference on profitable sustainability builds on five previous conferences held in the San Francisco Bay area and produced by the Future 500/Global Futures.

The Northwest is an ideal location for a conference, which addresses regional, national and international issues of business and profitability.
